Quick Update :)

Hey All! Yesterday we took the plunge and finally decided to disconnect our internet at the house. We have found that as a family we waste entirely too much time with media such as internet and television. The satellite is next. It should be gone by this weekend. We are determined to unplug and take back our lives. Even though we got rid of high speed internet, we are going to get internet service through the university. It’s dial-up, so it is going to be slow, but it should be ok for email or things like that. If we miss it too much, we’ll get DSL again, but for now we are internet-less. Unfortunately, someone’s having withdrawals! I had to take my laptop and go find a hot spot (is that the correct term?) by one of the hotels to check my facebook and my blog. Addiction is soo tough ;o) I actually got a lot done around the house, though, so that’s pretty awesome…

The kids are doing well. Caleigh Bug seems to be eating well and seems to be gaining a little weight. Next week we’ll return to her pediatrician to “officially” decide if supplementation is working, or if more testing is warranted. She has really taken to the bottle and formula. My other children hated “the switch”, but they were all between 9 and 11 months when they were introduced to formula. Maybe that has a little to do with it…who knows 

The boys are doing great in school. This weekend is a 4 day weekend for school. I can’t wait!! I LOVE having the kids home with me :o) We might have to make some big plans!

On Sunday we had a little get-together at the museum with the Lopers for Collin’s birthday. We hadn’t visited with them for quite a while. It was great to catch up! Our husbands hadn’t met yet, and they seemed to hit it off. I love when that happens. Our kids get along great, too. Carolyn and Cameron are in the same class at school, and they are the king and queen of the class. They are little buddies! Collin and Clay love doing “guy stuff” and playing together. Caitlyn and Caleb are going to get married. Ok…maybe not, but that would be pretty cool! They went to the same daycare last year and they bonded over endless soccer and t-ball practices and games. Poor kids- they are such troopers!

I guess that’s about it. Mom and Dad- if you want to e-mail me, use the one that is my full name (firstmiddlelast) at yahoo dot com.

we have the school's free internet, it's kinda slow at times but not to bad. ut luckily it's FREE, and we had to get rid of satalite too. It wasn't too bad whern our bill went from $50.00 to $13.00 a month!! (by just switching to local cable)

Well that's cool! I doubt I have the strength to do that! sounds like the museum was fun also I've tried to call you several times. I'll try again in a little while!

Wow, that's a big step. I don't know if I'd be able to do that. I admire your courage. Good thing you are super close so we should still be able to communicate easily!

I've been without TV for almost a year now, and it's great. Unfortunately, I still waste a lot of time on the internet. You'll have to let me know how this goes.
